The salt swells passed by
 Up and by toward where the boardwalk
  Came down to meet the sand.

Above: tawdry shacks holding their restaurants.
Below: used bandaids importantly strutting on the waves.

They were runway models,
 Pink with a clever patch of white;
  And when they turned to make their exits,
 A sporty spot of blood.
